The FlexUp Category Scale

To make our pricing fair, transparent, and predictable, we classify all work into five categories based on the skill required, the level of responsibility, and the value delivered to you. The higher the responsibility and impact, the higher the category.

Understanding the Service Categories

To make pricing fair, transparent, and predictable, we classify all work into five categories based on:

  • 🧠 Skill and experience required
  • ⚖️ Level of responsibility and risk
  • 💰 Value and impact for the client

💡 The more responsibility and impact, the higher the category.

This category covers essential, task-oriented work that keeps a business running smoothly. The value is in efficiency, reliability, and freeing up time for the core team.

  • Services Included: Administrative support, data entry, basic bookkeeping, L1 technical support (help desk), scheduling, transcription, community management moderation.
  • Key Differentiator: These are typically non-specialized, high-volume tasks with a primary focus on execution rather than strategic input.

This level involves skilled execution in specialized domains. Professionals in this category create tangible assets and execute defined strategies.

  • Services Included: Web development, software development (non-architect level), graphic design, content creation (writing, video), social media management, basic marketing campaign execution, HR operations (payroll, onboarding).
  • Key Differentiator: This work requires specific technical or creative skills but is generally performed based on a clear brief or strategy defined by others.

This is the core category for professional analysis and non-regulated advisory. These experts help you understand complex subjects and make informed decisions. They are not members of a regulated professional order (like the Bar).

  • Services Included: Legal information and analysis (by a jurist/paralegal), financial modeling, market research, business analysis, tax analysis (by a tax specialist), compliance support (GDPR, etc.), marketing strategy, strategic HR consulting.
  • Key Differentiator: This is high-level expertise with an "obligation of means"—the professional must apply all their skill diligently. It's about providing expert information and analysis, not legally binding advice reserved by a professional monopoly. This is the category where partners like SVP would typically operate.

This category is exclusively for professionals whose titles and activities are protected by law and regulated by a professional Order (e.g., the Bar Association or the Order of Chartered Accountants). The higher price reflects their increased responsibility, mandatory professional insurance, and ethical duties.

  • Services Included: Formal legal advice and representation (by a registered Lawyer), official audit and certification of accounts (by a Chartered Accountant), and other acts legally reserved for these professions.
  • Key Differentiator: This is legally binding advice from a licensed professional who engages their personal and professional liability under the supervision of their Order. This is the category for services provided by partner law firms and audit firms.

This category is for elite-level, high-impact consulting where the advice can fundamentally alter the course and valuation of the company. The rates reflect the immense value at stake and the unique experience of the advisors.

  • Services Included: Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) advisory, equity fundraising strategy (VC rounds), corporate restructuring, crisis management, international expansion strategy.
  • Key Differentiator: The billing model here is often a hybrid. The hourly rate acts as a retainer, but the primary compensation is a "success fee" (a percentage of the deal value), reflecting the massive value creation involved.

Working with Our Partner Network

Beyond our in-house team, you can work directly with our network of accredited independent partners, including freelancers, law firms, and specialized agencies.

  • Independent Pricing: Our partners set their own rates and commercial terms.
  • A Transparent Ecosystem: To maintain a healthy network, partners pay FlexUp the following fees:
    • 5% referral fee
    • 10% royalty fee (if FlexUp's IP is used)

1. Referral fee (5%)

A 5% fee applies when FlexUp facilitates the initial introduction between a client and any network partner. This is our standard fee for creating a valuable connection.

2. Royalty fee (10%)

A 10% royalty fee applies only when a partner’s service uses FlexUp's proprietary Intellectual Property (IP), such as our financial models or legal frameworks. It does not apply to general professional services like graphic design or standard IT support.

Clear & Cumulative

These two fees are independent and can be cumulative. For instance, if we refer you to a law firm for specific advice on the FlexUp model, both the 5% referral and 10% royalty fees would apply .
